Show your support for the Angels and their families selected for the first Minocycline trial.
Simply put, Angelman Syndrome (often abbreviated AS) is a severe neurological disorder characterized by profound developmental delays, problems with motor coordination (ataxia) and balance, and epilepsy.
Recently, it has been learned that in the case of Angelman Syndrome, the gene product UBE3A is not produced in the neurons in the brain, so the neurons are unable to function correctly.
Angelry was born in April of 2012. The sole purpose is to raise money for 24 families, including my own, to travel to Tampa, Florida three times over a four month period to participate in a Minocycline drug trial study.
